CHAPTER 260.

4, 1844.

Place changed

An act to alter and change the place of holding the election
in the first election district in Worcester county.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the place of holding elections in the first
election district of Worcester county, be and the same is
hereby changed, from the place now provided by law for
holding said election, to the house of William Mason, where
said election was formerly held.

Repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws or parts of
laws, inconsistent with or repugnant to this act, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

 

CHAPTER. 261.

A supplement to the act entitled, an act relaling to the Bal-
timore Second Dispensary, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and twenty-nine, chapter one hundred

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
there shall be paid annually to the president and directors
of the Baltimore Eastern Dispensary, for the use of the
said institution, one-third part of all fines imposed in Balti-
more city or county court, on persons convicted of keeping
houses of ill fame; and that so much of the seventh section
of the act of eighteen hundred and seven, chapter one
hundred and ten, as is contrary to the above enactment, be
and the same is hereby repealed.

appoint atten-
ding physi-
cians.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That hereafter, the
president and directors of the Baltimore Eastern Dispen-
sary shall appoint the attending physicians to the said in-
stitution, in the same manner and at the same time as the
other officers of the said institution are now appointed.

 

CHAPTER 262.

7, 1844.

An act granting further time to Benjamin T. Pindle, Col-
lector of State Taxes, in Anne-Arundel county, to com-
plete his collections.
