BEGINNING at a point on the 41st line of the Frostburg City Limits
as printed in the 1963 Edition of "Code of the Public Local Laws of Alle-
gany County," said point stands North 72° 19' East 16.6 feet from the
former location of a copper plug at the beginning point of the aforesaid
41st line, and running thence North 34° 15' West 270.46 feet, thence
North 15° 08' West 57.27 feet, thence North 05° 52' East 159.74 feet,
thence South 43° 20' East 513.00 feet to a point on the said 41st line and
reversing a part thereof, South 72° 19' West 211.30 feet to the beginning.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the provisions of the
Constitution and Laws of the State of Maryland applicable to the City of
Frostburg, which are now in effect, or which may hereafter be enacted,
and the Charter and all existing Ordinances of the City of Frostburg which
are now in force, shall be and the same are hereby extended and made
applicable to the residents and property in this annexed area.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
Frostburg shall cause a public notice of the introduction of this Resolu-
tion to be published not less than four times at weekly intervals in a news-
paper of general circulation in the City of Frostburg, and the area to be
annexed, briefly and accurately describing the proposed change and the
conditions and circumstances applicable thereto. The said public notice
shall specify that a public hearing will be held on the Resolution by the
Mayor and City Council of Frostburg, in the City Hall, Water Street, Frost-
burg, Maryland, on the 7th day of December, 1970, at 7:30 P.M.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That following said public
hearing the Mayor and City Council will proceed to adopt or reject said
Resolution, and if adopted, that the enlargement of the corporate bounda-
ries of the City of Frostburg shall become effective on the 22th day of
January, 1971, unless a petition for referendum thereon shall be filed as
permitted by law.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That as soon as the enlarge-
ment of the corporate boundaries of the City of Frostburg shall become
effective, either as herein provided or following a referendum, the Mayor
shall promptly register both the original boundaries and the new bound-
aries with the City Clerk of Frostburg, with the Director of the Hall of
Records, with the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County, and
with the Director of the Department of Legislative Reference, also with
the Secretary of State of Maryland.
