Board of Election Supervisors of the Town of Fruitland.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY
THE FRUITLAND COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF FRUITLAND,
MARYLAND, by virtue of the authority granted in Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title "Corporations—Mu-
nicipal" sub-title "Home Rule," that Section 119(c) of the Charter of the
Town of Fruitland be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:

119(c). Compensation. The members of said Board shall receive
such salary or compensation as the Town Commissioners may from time to
time prescribe by Resolution entered in the Minute Books of said Com-
mission.

Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND
ORDAINED BY THE FRUITLAND COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF
FRUITLAND, MARYLAND, that this Charter Amendment shall take
effect fifty (50) days from the date of passage hereof.

GAITHERSBURG

Resolution No. R-53-70

A Resolution authorizing the annexation by the City of Gaithers-
burg of approximately 2.8084 acres of land located to the south of
the present corporate boundaries.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Gaithersburg have
received a written petition requesting the enlargement of the corporate
boundaries of the City of Gaithersburg, so as to include an area encompass-
ing approximately 2.8084 acres of land located to the south of the present
corporate boundaries and adjacent thereto, and

WHEREAS, the signatures of the said Petition of Consent have been
verified and it has been ascertained that the persons signing said petition
are owners of not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the assessed
valuation of the real property located in the area to be annexed and rep-
resent at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside in the
area to be annexed who are registered as voters in County elections.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council
of the City of Gaithersburg that the Charter of the City of Gaithersburg
be and it is hereby amended by adding a new section thereto to read as
follows:

"The corporate boundaries of the City of Gaithersburg be and they
hereby are enlarged by including therein the following area:
