Section 13-352.15. Horses and Ponies.

Horses and ponies may be permitted in RA Agricultural Resi-
dential Districts, and Rl and R2 Residential Districts on lots meas-
uring less than forty thousand (40,000) square feet, provided:

(1)    If not more than one (1) horse or pony is kept, the lot
shall measure not less than twenty thousand (20,000) square feet.

(2)    If not more than two (2) horses or ponies are kept (exclu-
sive of a nursing foal), the lot size shall measure not less than
forty thousand (40,000) square feet.

(3)    If more than two (2) horses or ponies are kept, the lot
size shall measure not less than three (3) acres.

(4)    No building shall be located less than twenty-five feet (25')
from the nearest property line, nor less than fifty feet (500 from
any existing dwelling on any other property.

(5)    Manure shall not be stored less than forty-five feet (45')
from the nearest property line, nor less than one hundred feet
(100') from any existing dwelling or any other property.

(6)    Written approval shall be obtained from the Anne Arundel
County Health Department.

(7)    Special Exceptions for sites measuring less than forty
thousand (40,000) square feet shall only be granted in areas having
less than four (4) residences within one hundred twenty-five feet
(125') of the site being considered for this special exception. A
special exception shall not be granted for a site measuring one (1)
acre or less if three (3) or more lots measuring one (1) acre or less
are improved with dwellings and abut the site under consideration.

(8)    Every special exception granted under this section shall
lapse three (3) years from the date of final approval.

Section 13-352.16. Hotels and Motels.

Hotels and motels shall be permitted in Maritime Group B Dis-
tricts, provided:

(1)    The site shall have an area measuring not less than one
thousand (1,000) square feet for each guest room.

(2)    Said site shall have a frontage measuring not less than
two hundred feet (200').

(3)    No structure shall be located less than fifty feet (50') from
the rear of side property line.

(4)    The principal vehicular access for such use shall be located
on an arterial or collector street, and not closer than fifty feet (500
from any street intersection.
