issuance of such bond anticipation notes; providing for covenants concerning the
payment of the principal and interest of such bond anticipation notes; and
generally relating to the issuance and sale of bond anticipation notes by the Mayor
and City Council of Ocean City.
Copies of the proposed charter amendment are posted in the office of T. Earl
Pierce, Clerk-Treasurer, in the Municipal Building, at Third Street and Baltimore
Avenue, in the town of Ocean City.
This amendment will become effective on April 29, 1969, unless a petition for a
referendum on the amendment, signed by twenty percent (20%) of the qualified
voters of the town of Ocean City is filed with the Clerk-Treasurer on or before the
19th day of April, 1969.

Section 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of Ocean
City be and he is hereby specifically enjoined and instructed to carry out the
provisions of Sections 2 and 3. As evidence of compliance herewith, the said
Mayor shall cause to be affixed to the minutes of this meeting (1) appropriate
certificates of publication of the newspaper in which the Title of this Resolution,
together with Section 197D of said Charter as hereby repealed, shall have been
published and (2) the return receipts of the mailing referred to in Section 3, and
shall further complete and execute the Certificate of Effect attached hereto.
