ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
Ordinance shall take effect forty-five (45) days from the
date it becomes law.

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to add new Section 21-200 to the
Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 21, "General Provisions",
Subtitle 2, "Penalties", to follow immediately after
Section 21—103 thereof, to provide a general penalty
for violations not specifically provided for by
other sections of the Code.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That new Section 21-200
be, and it is hereby added to the Anne Arundel County
Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 21, "General
Provisions", Subtitle 2, "Penalties", to follow
immediately after Section 21—103 thereof, and to read as
follows:
SECTION 21-200.
ANY PERSON VIOLATING ANY PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY FOR WHICH NO SPECIFIC PENALTY HAS
BEEN ENACTED, SHALL BE GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR, AND UPON
CONVICTION THEREOF, SHALL BE FINED NOT MORE THAN ONE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000), OR IMPRISONED NOT MORE THAN
SIX (6) MONTHS, OR BOTH FINED AND IMPRISONED, IN THE
DISCRETION OF THE COURT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance
and necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health, safety, welfare and property, and
being passed by the affirmative vote of five (5) members
of the County Council, the same shall take effect from
the date it becomes law.
