SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 2-309(c), (d), and (e) of Article
- Agriculture, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
Article — Agriculture
2-309.
(c) The permit fee is [$50] $75. This sum shall
be applied toward the examination fee, but shall be
forfeited if the applicant fails to present himself at
[the next scheduled examination without being excused.]
EITHER OF THE NEXT TWO SCHEDULED EXAMINATIONS.
(d) The applicant shall present himself for
examination at [the next scheduled examination of the
board unless he submits a written application for a
waiver detailing the reasons for his nonappearance and
the board waives his appearance on the basis of extreme
hardship. ] EITHER OF THE NEXT TWO SCHEDULED EXAMINATIONS
OF THE BOARD.
(e) The permit shall expire on the day following
the announcement of the results of the first examination
given after the temporary permit is issued[. The
temporary permit of an applicant who has been granted a
waiver shall continue until the announcement of the
results of the next following examination.] IF THE
APPLICANT TAKES THE FIRST EXAMINATION, OR ON THE DAY
FOLLOWING THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE RESULTS OF THE SECOND
EXAMINATION, IF HE TAKES THE SECOND EXAMINATION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
