       Maryland Prince Georges County to wit

       I hereby certify that the bearer hereof
       ^Noses^ a black man of a dark complexion
       of the age of twenty three years five
       feet two Inches high and well made
       having three small scars on the left
       side of his face near his eye
       who was raised in the County
       aforesaid and born in the family
       of Basil waring of said County
       is a free man and became entitled
       to his freedom by a deed of
       manumission from Spencer
       Mitchell duly executed acknowledged
       and recorded among the
       Land records of said County
       In testimony and so forth
       certificate granted of 6.th october 1819

                               of P. G. County Court
