       Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

           I hereby certify that the bearer hereof
       Jason Daring a bright mulatto boy now
       in his eighth year about four feet
       three inches high with a flesh mark
       on his back is a free boy being the
       son of Lydia calling herself Lydia
       Hamilton who obtained her freedom
       by a Deed of Manumission from
       Higginson Belt bearing date the
       twenty third day of February in the
       year of our Lord one thousand
       seven hundred and eighty one and
       recorded among the Land Records
       of Montgomery County

                   In Testimony whereof I have hereto
       (seal)    subscribed my name & affixed the seal
                   of Prince Georges County Court this
