ascertained that the persons signing the petitions represent at
least twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside in the
area to be annexed, and who are registered voters in county
elections in the precinct or precincts in which the territory to
be annexed is located, and the owners of at least twenty-five
percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of real property located
in the area to be annexed.

RESOLUTION NO. 02

(ANNEXATION NO. 3 - LEIGHTON ADDITION-COUNTRY CLUB ACRES)

WHEREAS, after informal public meetings, petitions have been
presented to the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Oakland to
enlarge the corporate boundaries of the Town by the annexation of
land adjoining and contiguous to the existing corporate
boundaries being the area known as Leighton Addition-Country Club
Acres; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council have caused to be made a
verification of the signatures upon said petitions and have
ascertained that the persons signing the petitions represent at
least twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside in the
area to be annexed, and who are registered voters in county
elections in the precinct or precincts in which the territory to
be annexed is located, and the owners of at least twenty-five
percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of real property located
in the area to be annexed.
