John Chew Thomas by deed dated the
twelfth day of February Eighteen hundred
and twelve, and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
          Issued the 23d day of May 1820


Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that
it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a negro man named Peter aged about
thirty years about five feet ten Inches high
black Complexion a small scar under the left
eye is one of the persons manumitted by John Chew
Thomas by deed dated the twelfth day of February
Eighteen hundred and twelve, and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
       Issued the 23d day of May 1820


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit:  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
a negro man named Jim aged about twenty one
years about five feet Eight Inches high brown
Complexion has a scar near the right Eye, is one
of the persons manumitted by John Chew Thomas
by deed dated the twelfth day of February Eighteen
hundred and twelve, that his freedom Commenced
on the first day of January Eighteen hundred and
twenty, and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
       Issued the 23d day of May 1820


Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit.  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that
