Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: 
I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or
may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Richard Williams aged about nineteen years
about five feet Eleven Inches high very light
Complexion a small scar on the left cheek
and another upon the third finger of the left
hand, was free born and raised in the
County aforesaid
           Issued the 6th day of November 1820


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:  I
hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro
man named Charles aged about forty three
years about five feet nine Inches high brown
Complexion with two small scars upon the left
side of the neck is one of the persons manumitted
by Ann Jenifer by deed dated the fourteenth
day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and nineteen, and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
           Issued the 18th day of November 1820


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: 
                I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman named
Charity Prout aged about nineteen years about
five feet one Inch high bright Complexion a
scar upon the left cheek was free born and
raised in the County aforesaid
           Issued the 30th day of November 1820
