Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

the persons manumitted by Charles Hammond
of Charles by deed dated the seventh day of May
Eighteen hundred and two, that his freedom
Commenced in the year Eighteen hundred and
sixteen, and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
          Issued the 22d day of December 1820


Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit:  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that
it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a negro man named Jacob Boston
aged about nineteen years about five feet Eight
Inches high, dark Complexion a small scar over
the right eye was free born and raised in the
County aforesaid
           Issued the 1st day of January 1821


        Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: 
                    I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man
named William aged about twenty two years
about five feet Eight Inches high brown
Complexion, no perceptible mark, is one of the
persons manumitted by Susanna Lane by
deed dated the twenty first day of November
Eighteen hundred and six, and that he
was raised in the County aforesaid
           Issued the 22d day of Feby 1821


       State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
                   I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro
