Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
               I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro
man named George (otherwise called George
Boston) aged about twenty nine years about
six feet one Inch high dark Complexion
no perceptible mark is one of the persons
manumitted by Joseph Court by deed dated
the twentieth day of February Eighteen
hundred and two, and that he was raised
in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 16th day of July 1822



    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
               I hereby Certify to all whom it may
or doth Concern, that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man
named Jem aged about twenty Eight years
about five feet nine Inches high, black
Complexion with a scar on the out side of his
right wrist, is one of the persons manumitted
by Sarah Riggs by deed dated the Eighteenth
day of may in the year of our Lord One
thousand Eight hundred and fourteen and
that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 7th day of August 1822



    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
               I hereby Certify to all whom it
doth or may concern That it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
negro man named Sampson aged about
                                                       twenty
