a scar between the left eye and Ear and ^an^other near the right Ear is the Identical person manumitted by Wesley Linthicum by Deed dated the sixteenth day of December Eighteen hundred and twenty two and that he was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 16 day of December 1822 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it ^doth or^ may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Cate aged about thirty four years about five feet two Inches high brown Complexion has a small scar upon the right cheek is one of the persons manumitted by Francis Cromwell by deed dated the twenty third day of August one thousand seven hundred and ninety two that her freedom Commenced on the nineteenth day of December Eighteen hundred and twenty two, and that she was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 7th day of January 1823 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Sophia aged about seventeen years about five feet one and an half Inches high brown Complexion no perceptible mark is one of the persons manumitted by Richard Conner by deed dated the thirteenth day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and twenty one and that she was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 22d day of January 1823 |
